My original plan was to build a variant on the pinhole digital camera I’d previously made with a Raspberry Pi and a webcam. Note: Raspberry Pi 4 and heatsinks not included. A Kodak Brownie is also a good option for custom modificationsit’s easily available on eBay or at tag sales, it’s simple to hack, and it’s cheap enough that it doesn’t matter if things go wrong.

To open again, give the lower sides a gentle squeeze and pull apart.

But it could equally apply to Daniel Berrang’s philosophy when modifying it for the 21st century. The board s specs are insufficient to support these tasks, which is very different from typical computers and portable devices. The entire case simply clips together - all you need to do is use the included screws and screwdriver to secure your Raspberry Pi to the lower section, then push the case together. When Kodak unveiled its Box Brownie in 1900, it did so with the slogan ‘You press the button, we do the rest.’ The words referred to the ease-of-use of what was the world’s first mass-produced camera. Rubber feet keep everything steady and reduce vibrations too! The included adhesive heatsink set works in tandem with the fan to extract and remove heat via the vents on the side of the case. Inside, the built-in 35mm fan keeps your Raspberry Pi cool, attaching directly to the 5V and GND pins on the GPIO header. All other Raspberry Pi ports are accessible from the case, including a slot for the SD card. The Raspberry Pi Ethernet port is also accessible via the flap if required. You can't see the light from the LED so it's a bit difficult to test the circuit. Connect the anode of an infrared LED to a digital output, connect the cathode to ground through the resistor. A security system using the Arduino Bluetooth Camera and ultrasonic to detect that a stranger has entered house and capture a photo of him.

The 'cartridge' flap at the front exposes the Pi's USB ports for attaching Retro USB Controllers, and helps keep your TV unit looking clean and tidy when not in use. The circuit for this make is almost the simplest circuit you can make with an Arduino. Inspired by the greatest 80's retro consoles, this case ticks the nostalgia box whilst hiding our favourite powerful micro-computer inside.

The Portenta Vision Shield connects via a high density connector to the Portenta H7 with minimal hardware and software setup. The Nes4Pi oozes retro goodness from every angle whilst keeping your Raspberry Pi 4 secure, cool and accessible. The Arduino Portenta Vision Shield is an addon board providing machine vision capabilities and additional connectivity to the Portenta family of Arduino boards, designed to meet the needs of industrial automations. Finally, an affordable retro gaming case for the Raspberry Pi 4 has landed!
